2.1.3 Public Information Act

A. Purpose

To define the process by which public information requests are processed.

B. Persons Affected

All University of Texas at Tyler (the "University") staff.

C. Definitions

D. Policy

Do not accept and then forward any requests for public information. Public Information Requests must be in writing and submitted to the Public Information Officer by one of the following methods:

By Mail:

Public Information Officer

By Hand Delivery:

Public Information Officer - Chief Legal Officer 
3900 University Blvd.
Tyler, Texas 75799

The Public Information Officer will process all requests in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act. The University charges for providing copies of public information according to the rules set forth by the Office of the Attorney General.
