COMD 5366 Special Topics in Speech-Language Pathology
This course is designed to address current issues in the field of speech-language pathology, with the purpose of keeping the program of study dynamic and responsive to emerging needs. Therefore, the course addresses multiple topics, and these topics may change from year to year, depending on internal and external factors that may affect the field and/or the program.
For this cohort, the course will consist of 4 units, as follows:
· Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Communication Disorder (SCD)
· Cleft Lip and Palate
· Speech and Language Services in the Schools
· Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in the USA
