COMD 5365 Capstone Experience in Speech-Language Pathology
This course is designed as an opportunity for students to integrate the knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the graduate program. Each student will complete an evidence-based project focusing on a specific disorder of communication or swallowing. Students begin with choosing a diagnostic, prevention, or treatment topic. Then, they conduct a detailed case study, present a portfolio, and produce a major research paper consisting of a literature review, case study, findings, and recommendations. They will also conduct a presentation in the presence of graduate and undergraduate students and at least 2 faculty members.
