CRNA 7611 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Residency VI

This sixth clinical course aims to help NARs integrate content from all advanced principles courses and become more independent in their clinical practice. NARs should exhibit the professional qualities of a nurse anesthetist, emphasizing effective communication and positive interpersonal relationships with all staff involved in operative procedures. NARs will be assigned increasingly complex specialty cases and may be chosen by clinical site preceptors and faculty for more independent roles under the direct supervision of certified registered nurse anesthetists and/or anesthesiologists. The goal is for NARs to advance from competent to proficient, preparing them to pass the National Certification Exam (NCE) administered by the NBCRNA.
