CRNA 7201 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Residency I

Provide Nurse Anesthesia Residents (NARs) with introductory clinical experiences, focusing on routine surgical procedures, with the goal of advancing from “Novice” in Clinical Practicum I to “Proficient” by Clinical Practicums VI. This first course in a series of six allows NARs to observe and practice beginning skills in assessment, planning, and implementation/delivery, under continuous supervision and mentorship by a certified registered nurse anesthetist and/or anesthesiologists only. Ensure NARs know the principles and practice of nurse anesthesia care well enough to assess, plan, and implement a basic anesthetic care plan at a beginner level, under total supervision.
