CRNA 7205 Nurse Anesthesia Crisis Management II
This is the second course in a two-part series focusing on the role of the nurse anesthesia resident (NAR) in simulated anesthesia crisis scenarios. The NAR will complete assignments emphasizing crisis management in the perioperative environment. The course includes an in-depth examination of crisis resource management and debriefing techniques. Each NAR will participate in high-fidelity simulation and debriefing exercises, preparing them for independent management in clinical settings post-graduation. Additionally, the course will incorporate current anesthesia topics from scholarly sources, focusing on the morbidity and mortality of clinical cases, and will also adopt a team-oriented approach to crisis management.
