Master's Degree Time Limitation
Degree requirements for all master's programs at UT Tyler must be completed within a six-year period. Graduate credit transferred from another institution must meet the limitations imposed by each degree program. Exceptions to the six-year time limitation must be approved by the academic advisor, dean of the college offering the degree, and Dean of The Graduate School.
Prior coursework taken at UT Tyler, including coursework over six years old, may be reinstated to the date a graduate student re-enters an academic program upon recommendation and with permission of the Academic Program Coordinator, College/School Dean, and Graduate School Dean. This policy does not apply to transfer courses and does not supersede requirements of accrediting bodies.
