OCTH 5220 Introduction to Skills Performance and Documentation in Occupational Therapy

This course reviews and instructs on appropriate biomechanical skills and therapist hand placement during patient movement, goniometry basics, basic transfer skills and context for transfer selection, and adaptive equipment for treatment interventions. The course will instruct and assess the entry-level MOT student on safety skills, use and recommendation of adaptive equipment, modification of environment/equipment, and patient education techniques, an introduction to documentation of how to create goals and evaluations for patients, understanding of reimbursement for services.
