NURS 4602 Disease Management II
Disease Management II is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in managing complex diseases across various physiological systems. Continuing the concepts laid out in Disease Management I, this course explores additional healthcare needs with the focus on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neurologic, musculoskeletal, and endocrine conditions. Through a combination of didactic lectures, case studies, simulation exercises, and clinical rotations, students will explore the pathophysiology of each disease entity, along with its clinical manifestations and complications. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care.
