HRD 6324 Leading Higher Education Faculty and Student Affairs

This course explores the theories, practices, and challenges associated with leading faculty and student affairs in higher education institutions. The course covers topics such as academic governance, faculty recruitment, development, evaluation, promotion, student affairs administration, student development theory and practice, and student affair’s organizational structure and operations. The course also explores the challenges and opportunities facing academic leaders and the skills, competencies required for effective faculty and student affairs leadership, such as communication, collaboration, advocacy, innovation, and change management.
