HIST 4335 The Long Sixties
This course focuses on the rise of liberalism in the United States of America from the early-1950s to the mid-1970s. Through this course, we will trace the roots of the African American civil rights movement, the fight for equality among immigrants and migrant workers, and the rise of feminism in the mid-twentieth century. The course will also illustrate the decline of liberal ideas and the rise of the modern conservative movement.
