ART 5352 Graduate Studies in Women in Art II

The course focuses on select women artists active after 1900 and examines their art within different cultural, political, and social contexts in the 20th and 21st centuries. Through reading assignments, class discussions, a class presentation, and a writing project, students will examine the impact of feminist movements and theory on the arts and art historiography in the post-World War II. Students will analyze and engage with issues and debates that women artists have addressed in the 21st century.
