SOCI 3310 Children and Society
This course explores the complex relationship between children and the societies they inhabit. It examines how social, cultural, and institutional forces shape children's lives and development. Topics include the role of family, education, media, and policy in children's socialization, as well as issues related to childhood inequality, identity formation, and children's rights. Through a sociological lens, students will gain a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences of childhood and the factors that influence children's well-being and social outcomes.
