COMD 5368 Clinical Practicum 3
During their summer semester (after having successfully passed COMD 5354 and 5355), students will participate in their summer intensive clinical practica. This is the first of two summer semester clinical practica, one for summer I and the other for summer II (COMD 5369, which they will take after successfully completing this course).
Students will continue working to complete part of their 400 total clinical clock hours at the on-campus Speech Language and Hearing clinic (SLHC). Students will continue to engage (under 100% direct supervision) in the direct diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults. They will participate in planning and debriefing meetings with their supervisors before and after therapy sessions. This course also includes a weekly 2-hour seminar.
