PHAR 7134 Advanced Topics in Pharmacogenomics
This Pharmacy Selective course is designed to provide students with a more detailed examination of the current state of the field of Pharmacogenomics in pharmacy practice. Students will examine the barriers to implementation of pharmacogenomics in pharmacy practice, accumulate a set of tools to use for keeping up with the growing field after graduation, review and evaluate available guidelines for altering drug therapies to personalize patients’ treatment based on their genetic profiles and evaluate literature from which the guidelines were developed.
Prerequisite
Current enrollment in the College of Pharmacy and P3 standing.
