Oil, Gas and Energy Accounting Certificate
The Oil, Gas and Energy Accounting Certificate program is designed to prepare students for accounting specialization or consulting in energy industries.
Admission Requirements
In addition to the general graduate admission requirements of The University of Texas at Tyler, admission to the certificate program is contingent upon favorable review by the graduate committee. Admission to the certificate program requires the submission of the following information:
- A baccalaureate or advanced degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Original transcripts
- Transcript credit for Intermediate Accounting I or its equivalent.
- The admission process is complete when the applicant has been notified in writing of acceptance to the certificate program.
Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Upon successful completion of approved 9 semester credit hours, students will be awarded a certificate. Credits earned in fulfillment of the Oil, Gas and Energy Certificate Program may be applied toward other graduate degrees in the College of Business and Technology. All other graduate degree regulations and policies are applicable to the certificate program.
Curriculum (9 hours total)
The following three courses must be completed with a grade of C or better while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
