English Language Arts and Reading Teacher Certification

All students wishing to be certified to teach English Language Arts and Reading (4-8 and 8-12) in Texas public schools must complete the Academic Foundations, Professional Development, required English language arts and reading courses (8-12 requires completion of the B. A. in English), and meet the requirements described in the Certification section of the College of Education and Psychology section of this catalog.
